James R. Doty M.D. is an educator, compassion researcher, neuroscientist, neurosurgeon, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. He is an adjunct professor at Stanford University School of Medicine and the founding director of the Stanford Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CCARE).
