Helping Kids Deal with Big Feelings Tied to Fear
Children don’t always recognize when they’re feeling afraid. It may show up as anger, worry, judgment, selfishness, shame, loneliness, or uncertainty. Through age-appropriate stories, engaging activities, and mindfulness exercises your kids will learn to understand these feelings and practice healthy ways to respond.
Each week, the awesome Mrs. Reis leads kis through:
- a fun warm-up activity
- storytime and kid-friendly discussions
- a creative project that reinforces the lesson
- social time
Week 1 - Anger
Feeling angry is ok; we can learn healthy ways to calm down and choose how we respond.
Week 2 - Worry
When worries start to feel big, simple tools can help our minds and bodies feel calmer.
Week 3 - Feelings
All feelings are welcome, and learning to name them helps us better understand ourselves.
Week 4 - Sharing
Sharing, taking turns, and working together are ways we can show kindness and connect with others.
Week 5 - Self-Kindness
The way we talk to ourselves matters, and we can practice choosing kinder, more encouraging thoughts.

- Mindfulness
Week 6 - Friendship
Making new friends and building friendships are all about small moments of connection, kindness, and including others.
Week 7 - Uncertainty
New and uncertain things can feel uncomfortable, but we can learn to move through them one step at a time.

Your child will be welcomed into a warm, safe space that will help them:
My name is Arianna Reis. I worked in early education for 7 years before taking time off to homeschool my children during the pandemic.
While my kids were in public school, I led Project Cornerstone at their school, and the moment I became a caring adult for the program, I fell deeply in love with creating a safe, supportive space for learners. I have brought that style of social and emotional learning to everything I do. Just ask my kids!
My favorites!
