AVENIDAS: A VITAL COMMUNITY ASSET
For over 55 years, Avenidas has served older adults and caregivers in Santa Clara County. Our mission is to empower seniors to live vibrant, engaged, and healthy lives. We achieve this through comprehensive programs designed to meet their unique needs and offer caregivers a support system they can rely on. Our key programs include: Avenidas Rose Kleiner Center (adult day health care), Avenidas Care Partners (personalized care management), Door-to-Door transportation, unique Health and Wellness classes, Chinese Community Center, and Rainbow Collective. All our programs are tailored to support an underserved community of seniors including at-risk older adults, ensuring no one is left behind.
HOW WILL THE CONTRIBUTION BE USED
This contribution will support our Avenidas Emergency Fund. This Fund steps in to offer flexible, person-centered, dignified support to senior adults facing urgent financial crises. From eyeglasses and wheelchair repair, or phone bills, to rent, dental care, co-pays, and mental health consults, we address critical needs, including care for pets or senior center membership to combat isolation and loneliness.
