What if the Bible could be a source of insight and healing rather than confusion or pain? Rev. John’s Metaphysical Bible Interpretation Workshop on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. is a one-hour introduction to a fresh way of reading and understanding scripture. Available in person at our Learning Center and online via Zoom, this workshop is designed for anyone who is curious about the Bible, regardless of their background or prior experience.

During the workshop, Rev. John will walk the group through the different ways the Bible can be read and interpreted, including the metaphysical approach that Unity has used for generations. In Unity, the Bible is understood as a spiritual guidebook, one where the people, places, and events represent ideas and states of awareness that apply directly to our inner lives. Together, the group will work through Unity’s step-by-step metaphysical interpretation process, exploring what it looks like to move from the words on the page to the deeper meaning underneath. The session is interactive and grounded, with time to practice the process as a group.

People who are looking for a way to reconnect with the Bible on their own terms will find this workshop especially meaningful. Whether you grew up with scripture and drifted away, carry painful memories connected to religious settings, or have simply been curious about what Unity teaches, this is a space where questions are welcome and no previous knowledge is required. The goal is not to tell you what to believe, but to offer a lens that may help you read the Bible in a way that feels relevant and useful to your life.

Attendees will leave with a worksheet that guides them through the metaphysical interpretation process, giving them a practical tool they can return to on their own.

This workshop is open to all and is offered on a love offering basis, so cost is not a barrier. Space is limited to around 20 participants, which keeps the experience personal and connected. Registration is required. This workshop is also a prerequisite for the upcoming monthly Metaphysical Bible Interpretation group, making it a meaningful first step for anyone who wants to continue exploring.
