The Humane Prison Hospice Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to revolutionizing end-of-life care inside prisons. We train incarcerated people to serve as compassionate peer caregivers for those who are aging, seriously ill, or dying behind bars. Our work fosters dignity, connection, and community in some of the most isolating environments, offering support not only to those at the end of life but also to those who care for them. Through this program, we help build a more humane and just world—one act of care at a time.
