What is the Small Group Study Program?
The Small Group Study Program is a multi-week experience that brings us together to share, learn, and grow. Each week begins with the Sunday Service Talk as our speakers dive into the book. An Enrichment Study Guide is provided to deepen our learning and put the ideas into practice. We come together in small groups to connect, discuss, and share.
Group gatherings are held at hosts’ homes, at Unity Palo Alto, or in another community venue, such as a clubhouse or library. Gatherings last about 1-½ hours to 2 hours. (A virtual meeting is available for our out-of-town members.)
The Spiritual Enrichment Goals
- Come together in small groups for greater connection with each other and our spiritual community
- More deeply engage in our spiritual teachings
- Support each other in our personal and spiritual growth
- Practice loving-kindness by serving others together
What happens in a group gathering?
- Opening Prayer & Check In
- Discussion of the talk and discussion questions
- Wrap-up & announcements
- Closing Prayer
- Refreshments and social time
Participants are encouraged to take an active role in the group by sharing responsibility:
- Pray – An written opening prayer will be provided
- Facilitate discussion – ensure everyone has an opportunity to participate during the meeting
- Keep track of time
- Provide refreshments

The following small groups are currently open. Each begins on the date specified. After you register, we will reach out when we get closer to the Kick-off with more information.
