On Thursday, April 27, our dear friend Mary McMahon made her transition peacefully in her sleep. Mary did not want a "big fuss" so we are coming together after the Sunday Service to make a "little fuss" as we celebrate her life and bless her on her ongoing spiritual journey.

History paints a broad picture of the world, national and local times and events but says little about the individuals who lived through those times. Memories are not experiences to be relived and constantly aired but to be looked at, learned from, and shared so the future may see how life used to be.
Each month, this group comes together to develop writing skills, inspire each other, and share stories. A topic for writing is chosen by the group at the end of each session. Each session is group-facilitated.

On this year's Unity World Day of Prayer, join our Prayer Chaplains for a virtual hour of opening our hearts to the healing light of oneness and love. Stories, memories, tales of the past, call them what you will; memories matter. History paints a broad picture of the world, national and local times and events but says little about the individuals who lived through those times. Memories are not experiences to be relived and constantly aired but to be looked at, learned from, and shared so the future may see how life used to be.
Each month, this group comes together to develop writing skills, inspire each other, and share stories. A topic for writing is chosen by the group at the end of each session. Each session is group-facilitated.

Location: Under the trees in the parking lot, across the bridge. (Until it gets cold. Then we'll move to the Fireside room.)
A new kind of yoga that everyone can do and anyone can benefit from. Guided by Coach Eric, this practice focuses on breathwork, posture, and internal energy flows. You'll develop strength & flexibility, but you won't be on the floor, and you won't twist yourself into weird positions. You'll learn the techniques of energy-flow meditation--a practice that leads to a joyful connection with something far greater than yourself--an experience often described as Christ Consciousness or enlightenment.
Wear easy on/off shoes and loose, comfortable clothing, but don't expect to sweat. Bring a meditation cushion and/or yoga block, if you have them. (A yoga mat is not needed.)

Grab your furry, feathered, or scaly friend and join us for Unity Palo Alto's Pet Blessing with Casey Wicker, LUT. Our pets enrich our lives in so many ways. Let's take this time to honor and celebrate the special bond we share with them. During the ceremony, your pet will receive a special blessing, and we'll have a memorial table available to place a picture of a beloved companion that has passed.
Plus, we're collecting new stuffed animals to bless and donate on behalf of Unity Palo Alto. Let's express our love and gratitude for our pets and pay the goodness forward! Animal lovers and pets of all faiths are welcome.
