Unity Palo Alto Prayer Service
Every 2nd Sunday after the service we come together in affirmative prayer. Infuse our community prayer requests with love and blessings before we send them off to Silent Unity, where they will be held in prayer for 30 days. This meditation service led by Casey Wicker, Licensed Unity Teacher, is the same sacred practice used by Silent Unity. One heart, one voice in prayer, affirming the light within.

Memories are not experiences to be relived and constantly aired, but to be looked at learned from, and shared so the future may see how life used to be.
Each month this group comes together to develop writing skills, inspire each other, and share stories. A topic for writing is chosen by the group at the end of each session. Each session is group-facilitated.

Is prayer a challenge for you? If so, Jim Rosemergy offers a nine-step prayer practice called The Gathering to make it a tad easier. He proposes that "prayer isn't something we do; rather it's an experience of God's presence." Hence, during this interactive course, we will:
- Identify and address the barriers to experiencing and living in Oneness through willingness, release, and forgiveness
- Discover how a consciousness of God is the answer to life's challenges and the key to contentment.
"The Gathering" can become your foundation for a genuine and ever deepening experience of God's presence and power while serving others through the mystery of divine power.

Wear easy on/off shoes and loose, comfortable clothing, but don't expect to sweat. Bring a meditation cushion and/or yoga block if you have them. (A yoga mat can be useful but is not required.)
This 8-week series builds from one session to the next. By the end, you'll have built an energy activation and meditation practice you can do on your own--one that leads to a joyful connection with something far greater than yourself.

During this meditation service, we will look at Holy Week through the lens of metaphysical interpretation. Through readings, music, and times of silence, we will be invited to release erroneous thoughts and beliefs that hold us back from opening to the fullness of our divine light. We will travel with the way shower, Jesus, on a journey to Jerusalem, our metaphysical “habitation of peace.”

Unity considers the Bible to be its basic textbook for the teaching of Truth and a manual for unfolding the human soul. While Unity encourages readers of the Bible to study it as a historical document, our main approach to biblical study is metaphysical. In other words, we look for the spiritual meaning underlying everything. In doing so, we see the people, places, and events mentioned in the Bible as representative of an idea or a state of consciousness.
This workshop will introduce you to a step-by-step method for metaphysically interpreting and applying the meanings to your life. It is a prerequisite for our upcoming monthly Metaphysical Bible Interpretation group.
Prayer Chaplain Orientation
Ever wondered what a Prayer Chaplain does? Or better yet, are you getting a nudge in your heart to become one for our spiritual community? If so, come and join the UPA Prayer Chaplain Team at their Orientation on Sunday, March 17th, from 12 pm to 1 pm. You can attend in person at the Learning Center or online through Zoom.
During the Orientation, you learn more about:

- What are the responsibilities, requirements, and expectations of being a Prayer Chaplain?
